Apple Music and Spotify specify different technical parameters for cover art. Madverse's submission standard is built to satisfy both simultaneously.
2.2.1 Technical specifications by platform
Madverse's accepted range is built to satisfy Apple Music and Spotify at the same time:

2.2.2 Madverse's submission standard
Submit a square JPG or PNG from 1400 × 1400 px up to 6000 × 6000 px, RGB/sRGB colour space. 3000 × 3000 px is recommended for quality but is not required — artwork is accepted across that full range. Always use the highest-resolution source available — never upscale a smaller image, which both platforms can detect as quality degradation.
2.2.3 What artwork must not contain
- URLs, web addresses, or email addresses
- Social media handles or platform logos
- Logos of streaming services or unlicensed third-party brands
- QR codes
- References to audio format or quality (Atmos, Dolby Atmos, lossless, 24-bit, high-resolution)
- Pricing or promotional text
- References to physical packaging (CD, vinyl) or retailers
- Pornography
- Content promoting hatred based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national/ethnic origin
2.2.4 Accuracy and matching
Cover art must be the genuine, original artwork for the specific release — not a generic template or art reused from an unrelated release. It must not misleadingly depict or prominently feature an artist who does not perform on the release. If text appears on the artwork (artist name, title), it must match the submitted metadata exactly.
2.2.5 AI-generated artwork
Permitted, subject to two conditions: the AI generator's watermark must be fully removed before submission, and the image must show no visual degradation — distorted text, unnatural anatomy, or other generation artefacts. Creator and Professional subscribers have access to Madverse's built-in AI Cover Art Studio (5 generations per day, up to 15 per calendar month). It is not limited to Professional.
