Metadata corrections are requested through Madverse, not directly through any DSP — this is standard across the industry for distributed content.
3.3.1 Why corrections go through Madverse, not the DSP
Spotify's own artist documentation is explicit on this point: your metadata is set by your label or distributor before delivery, and Spotify displays your music exactly as it was delivered. To fix a metadata problem, your distributor needs to send an update with the corrected information — Spotify support cannot edit metadata directly for artists working through a distributor.
3.3.2 How to request a correction
From your Madverse dashboard, locate the release and submit the correction through the edit flow. Routine field corrections (see 3.2.1) are typically faster to process than changes requiring a full re-delivery (3.2.2).
3.3.3 Expected turnaround
Turnaround varies by DSP and by whether the change is a routine edit or a full re-delivery. Allow several business days for a correction to propagate across all selected platforms.
