8.4 - Topic Channels, Explained

A Topic channel is an auto-generated YouTube channel that hosts your music before — or instead of — an Official Artist Channel.

8.4.1 How a Topic channel appears

When Madverse delivers a release to YouTube, it may first appear on a generic "Release - Topic" (Various Artists) channel before YouTube fully processes the delivery. Once processing completes — with no missing metadata — tracks remap to an "[Artist Name] - Topic" channel, typically within 1-30 days, though first releases sometimes take longer.

8.4.2 What a Topic channel can and can't do

Topic channels are auto-generated and host the "Art Track" videos (your cover art paired with the audio) created from your standard distribution delivery. They have no subscribe button, no community features, and no upload capability — they exist purely to organize your distributed audio until an Official Artist Channel is claimed.

8.4.3 If your release is stuck on a generic Various Artists Topic channel

This is expected behavior for a first release or shortly after delivery — give it the full processing window before treating it as an issue. If a release still shows under "Release - Topic" rather than your own artist name after 30 days, contact Madverse support.
