An Official Artist Channel merges your own YouTube channel, your auto-generated Topic channel, and any Vevo channel into one unified, verified destination.
8.5.1 What an OAC does
It consolidates everything — your personal channel, your Topic channel, and a Vevo channel if applicable — into a single channel, marked with a music-note badge in search and on YouTube Music. Subscribers from all merged sources combine into one count.
8.5.2 What you get with an OAC
- A unified, verified artist presence instead of fragmented channels
- Analytics for Artists — a dedicated music-focused analytics dashboard
- Automatically organized Releases and Music Videos sections by album/EP/single
- Ticketing and merchandise links directly on your videos
- Improved discoverability and eligibility for YouTube promotional programs
- Community posts and comment hearts for fan interaction
8.5.3 An OAC is a merge, not a new channel
Claiming an OAC upgrades and merges your existing channels — it doesn't create a fresh one. This merge cannot be undone or transferred to a different channel afterward.
