Confirmed artificial streaming triggers a tiered response, with a defined appeals process at every stage.
11.6.1 Penalty tiers
11.6.2 Evidence that helps an appeal
- Documentation of a legitimate cause for the flagged spike (press coverage, viral social moment, organic playlist placement)
- If a third-party marketing vendor was used, any contract or communication showing the service was represented as legitimate promotion rather than stream manipulation
- Historical streaming pattern context that supports the spike being plausible for that specific release
11.6.3 Appeal timeline
Appeals submitted through the process in 5.14.2 are reviewed within Madverse's standard support SLA (see Section 10 for plan-specific SLAs) — complex cases involving DSP-level coordination may take longer.
11.6.4 Repeated confirmed violations
A pattern of confirmed violations across multiple releases is treated more severely than an isolated incident, and can affect the account's overall standing beyond the specific flagged releases.
