A specific list of content categories that are never accepted for distribution, regardless of other quality or metadata compliance.
11.2.1 Prohibited content categories
- Hate speech, or content promoting hatred based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national/ethnic origin (consistent with both Apple's and Spotify's own platform policies, referenced in 2.2.3 and 2.30.6)
- Sexually explicit imagery or content involving the sexual exploitation of minors — zero tolerance, immediate account-level action
- Copyrighted samples or compositions used without clearance (see 2.17.5 for the sample-clearance framework)
- Content designed to game streaming royalties through volume or manipulation — catalog flooding, AI-spam (see 2.18.4)
- Content that infringes trademarks or rights of publicity without authorization (see 11.9 for the artwork-specific application of this rule)
11.2.2 Why this list exists separately from QC rejections
Section 2.30's QC rejection reference covers fixable metadata and technical issues — resubmit and it clears. This list covers content that is never acceptable regardless of resubmission; these are policy violations, not technical errors.
