This is a high-stakes article — the consequences of cancelling differ significantly between Creator and Professional plans, and depend on when your releases originally went live.
10.6.1 If you're on the Professional plan
- Your content stays live — no takedown occurs
- Your royalty share drops from 100% to 50% on future earnings (see 1.4.2)
- Resubscribing restores 100% royalty share going forward
10.6.2 If you're on the Creator plan
- Your content is generally taken down, unless a Release Protection exception applies
- Anything released before 1 July 2026 is permanently protected and stays live regardless of subscription status
- If your most recent paid term extends past 30 June 2026, your releases remain protected until that paid term genuinely ends
10.6.3 No grace period beyond what's described above
Outside of the specific Release Protection exceptions in 10.6.2, there is no additional grace period for Creator plan cancellation — plan accordingly if you intend to let a subscription lapse.
10.6.4 Historical royalties are unaffected
Royalties already earned before cancellation remain payable to you regardless of your subscription status afterward.
