5.9 - Setting Up a Split With a Collaborator

A step-by-step walkthrough for configuring a royalty split on a track.

5.9.1 Requirements

• You must be on the Professional plan (see 5.8.3)
• Each collaborator needs their own Madverse account
• The track must not yet be live, or you're adding the split going forward from confirmation (5.8.2)

5.9.2 The setup flow

1. You need an active paid distribution plan (Creator, Professional, or Enterprise) — not Vibe.
2. On desktop: Finance → Royalty Splits → Assigned Splits. In the app: Analytics → Finance → Royalty Splits → Assigned Splits.
3. Each collaborator must have their own Madverse account. They accept from Royalty Invitations / Received Splits.
4. Finalize carefully — splits lock after confirmation.
